This naturalistic garden was created with a modest budget and a clear vision: to offer a wildlife-friendly space where the client’s child can safely wander and explore amongst nature.

A self -binding gravel pathway winds gently through the mini meadow, with concrete planks underfoot to add stability and visual interest. Alongside low-maintenance planting and a natural-stone seating area, these elements create an inviting, tranquil environment that is easy to care for and environmentally sustainable.

Planting

The planting blends natural beauty with intentional design. Wildflowers grow freely while the relocated plum tree stands as a striking central feature. Near the house, a more structured planting scheme offers contrast, with bold statement plants like Cardoons and Knautia adding height and texture. The colour pallet of pale lilacs, pale pinks and creamy whites complement the Brendon gravel and Dijon limestone
